Leite Borges Sociedade de Advogados is looking for a Lawyer to join its team.

We are looking for someone with strong legal skills, a responsible and practical approach, and a client-focused mindset, who is comfortable working autonomously while also recognising when a matter should be discussed or escalated.

The profile we are looking for:

• Law degree
• Strong legal foundations and sound legal reasoning
• Preferably, at least 2 years of professional experience, with no maximum seniority level, ideally in one or more of the following areas: compliance, regulatory matters — particularly capital markets and banking — and corporate law
• Ability to understand and analyse complex legal matters and provide clients and colleagues with direct, clear, practical and well-reasoned advice
• Strong ability to interpret legislation, regulations and legal documentation
• Strong legal analysis, research and drafting skills
• Rigorous thinking and writing, with a high level of attention to detail
• Sound judgement and a practical mindset
• A strong sense of responsibility, autonomy and initiative
• Ability to identify and escalate relevant matters in a timely manner and, whenever possible, to do so having already considered potential solutions or courses of action
• Ability to ask the right questions, exercise independent judgement and take well-reasoned positions
• A friendly, empathetic and client-focused approach, with a genuine willingness to help and find solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Openness to feedback and an ability to learn, adapt and adjust one's approach when necessary
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and, where necessary, to flag or discuss any required adjustments to deadlines in a timely manner
• Preferably, fluency in written and spoken English
